Fiskardo (Φισκάρδο) village is one of the most beautiful gems of Kefalonia, Greece, which is famous for its colourful Venetian houses, ruins of Roman buildings and a picturesque port. The village got its name in the Middle Ages after a Norman knight and adventurer, Robert Guiscard, who occupied Kefalonia island in 1084, but Fiskardo dates back to a much earlier history, it was mentioned by Greek historians before the Roman conquest.

Today Fiskardo is a tiny, but charming settlement of Kefalonia island, where Venetian houses meet Roman ruins and emerald bays, and where the port is filled by elegant yachts and boats. The heart of the settlement is the beautiful coastal promenade around the port: several well reputated restaurants, bars and souvenire stores are waiting for their guests.
