One of the geographical phenomenons of Kefalonia island is the moving rock of Kounopetra, but near this place travellers can find also a small red sand beach. Kounopetra beach is a slightly organized place in Paliki peninsula, where behind the narrow coast there is a small restaurant and a few apartments. The seabed is primarily filled by red (orange coloured) sand and some pebbles, but it is also quite shallow.
