Lixouri (Ληξούρι) is the second largest town among the villages of Kefalonia island, Greece, and it is an attractive small town with a port, charming central square and a long seaside promenade. The town of Lixouri is located in Paliki peninsula, which is the southwest corner of Kefalonia island with a lot of special attractions: this area is unique for the red sand coastline, for interesting gray rocks and emerald sea colours.

Despite its size, Lixouri is usually much calmer in Kefalonia even during summer season than the area of Argostoli, but this town is not abandoned at all. The streets and the main square are filled by restaurants, coffee bars, supermarkets, and of course accommodation options.
