St. Gerasimos Cave Hermitage

The cave hermitage of Saint Gerasimos, patron of Kefalonia island is situated near Argostoli and Lassi. This cave was the home of St. Gerasimos after he arrived to Kefalonia, which was an unheated and minimally equipped place in the rocks.

A few decades ago a small church was built here, the entrance of the cave hermitage of St. Gerasimos can be accessed through this small building.
